🌙 After the Adhān (Call to Prayer) – Duʿās

🕊️ 1. Testimony of Faith & Contentment with Islam

Arabic:
وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَّا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيْكَ لَهُ، وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُوْلُهُ، رَضِيْتُ بِاللهِ رَبًّا، وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ رَسُوْلًا، وَبِالْإِسْلَامِ دِيْنًا

Transliteration:
Wa ana ash-hadu al-lā ilāha illa-llāhu waḥdahū lā sharīka lah, wa anna Muḥammadan ʿabduhū wa rasūluh, raḍītu bi-llāhi rabbā, wa bi Muḥammadi-r-rasūlā, wa bi-l-islāmi dīnā.

Meaning:
I also bear witness that there is no god but Allah, alone without partner, and Muhammad ﷺ is His servant and Messenger. I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, with Muhammad as my Messenger, and with Islam as my religion.

Hadith:
“Whoever says this after hearing the Adhān, their sins will be forgiven.” (Muslim 386)


🌸 2. Sending Salawat (Blessings)

Arabic:
اللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَعَلَىٰ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

Transliteration:
Allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā Muḥammad wa ʿalā āli Muḥammad.

Meaning:
O Allah, send Your blessings upon Muhammad and his family.

Hadith:
“Whoever sends blessings upon me once, Allah will send 10 blessings upon him.” (Muslim 384)


🌟 3. Duʿā for Wasilah and Maqām Maḥmūd

Arabic:
اللّٰهُمَّ رَبَّ هٰذِهِ الدَّعْوَةِ التَّامَّةِ وَالصَّلَاةِ الْقَائِمَةِ، آتِ مُحَمَّدًا الْوَسِيْلَةَ وَالْفَضِيْلَةَ، وَابْعَثْهُ مَقَامًا مَّحْمُودًا الَّذِيْ وَعَدْتَّهُ

Transliteration:
Allāhumma rabba hādhihi-d-daʿwati-t-tāmmati wa-ṣ-ṣalāti-l-qāimah, āti Muḥammadan al-wasīlata wa-l-faḍīlah, wa-bʿath-hu maqāma-maḥmūdan alladhī waʿadtah.

Meaning:
O Allah, Lord of this perfect call and the established prayer, grant Muhammad the highest rank in Paradise (al-Wasilah), and raise him to the praised station You have promised him.

Hadith:
“Whoever says this after the Adhān shall receive my intercession on the Day of Judgement.” (Bukhārī 614)


🕌 Duʿā While Going to the Masjid

Arabic:
اللّٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْ فِي قَلْبِي نُوْرًا، وَفِي بَصَرِي نُوْرًا، وَفِي سَمْعِي نُوْرًا، وَعَنْ يَمِينِي نُوْرًا، وَعَنْ يَسَارِي نُوْرًا، وَفَوْقِي نُوْرًا، وَتَحْتِي نُوْرًا، وَأَمَامِي نُوْرًا، وَخَلْفِي نُوْرًا، وَاجْعَلْ لِي نُوْرًا

Transliteration:
Allāhumma-jʿal fī qalbī nūrā, wa fī baṣarī nūrā, wa fī samʿī nūrā…

Meaning:
O Allah, place light in my heart, my vision, my hearing, on my right, on my left, above me, beneath me, in front of me, behind me – grant me light.

Hadith:
The Prophet ﷺ used to say this duʿā when going to the masjid. (Bukhārī 6316, Muslim 763)


🚪 When Entering the Masjid

1. Protection from Shayṭān

Arabic:
أَعُوْذُ بِاللّٰهِ الْعَظِيْمِ، وَبِوَجْهِهِ الْكَرِيْمِ، وَسُلْطَانِهِ الْقَدِيْمِ، مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيْمِ

Transliteration:
Aʿūdhu bi-llāhi-l-ʿaẓīm, wa bi wajhihi-l-karīm, wa sulṭānihi-l-qadīm, mina-sh-Shayṭāni-r-rajīm.

Meaning:
I seek protection in Allah, His noble face, and His eternal authority from the accursed Shayṭān.

Hadith:
Whoever says this, Shayṭān says: “He is protected from me for the whole day.” (Abū Dawūd 466)


🌧️ 2. Seeking Mercy

Arabic:
بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ، وَالصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَىٰ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰهِ، اللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذُنُوْبِي، اللّٰهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ

Transliteration:
Bismi-llāh, wa-ṣ-ṣalātu wa-s-salāmu ʿalā Rasūl-illāh, Allāhumma-ghfir lī dhunūbī, Allāhumma-f-taḥ lī abwāba raḥmatik.

Meaning:
In the name of Allah. Peace and blessings on the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, forgive my sins and open the doors of Your mercy for me.

Hadith:
Say this upon entering the masjid. (Muslim 713)


🚶‍♂️ When Leaving the Masjid

🌿 1. Asking Allah’s Favor

Arabic:
بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ، وَالصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَىٰ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰهِ، اللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ

Transliteration:
Bismi-llāh, wa-ṣ-ṣalātu wa-s-salāmu ʿalā Rasūl-illāh, Allāhumma innī asʾaluk min faḍlik.

Meaning:
In the name of Allah. Peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, I ask You from Your bounty.

Hadith:
Say this when exiting the masjid. (Muslim 713)


🔒 2. Seeking Protection

Arabic:
اللّٰهُمَّ اعْصِمْنِي مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيْمِ

Transliteration:
Allāhumma-ʿṣimnī mina-sh-shayṭāni-r-rajīm.

Meaning:
O Allah, protect me from the accursed Shayṭān.

Hadith:
Say this while leaving the masjid. (Ibn Mājah 773)
